30 Weeks: Toothless No More

Little farmer and his tractor

Billie and Me

I can't call you toothless any more! Although it's not fully in yet, it's on it's way! You have been a bit crabby and whiny, but not too too bad. Last night Sito came to see the tooth, and she helped put you to bed. Funny how you ate well while she was here and didn't give her any hassle to go to sleep!!

But the big newsbreak of today, Jan 28, is that I think there is another tooth! This morning you were spitting out your food, and Mommy was getting a little mad. So after a break I picked you up and tried to give you a bottle. You didn't want that either. But mommy wanted to see that tooth again so she checked in your mouth and there is ANOTHER little slit forming right next to the other! I can't see the white yet, but I think it's there! TWO TEETH! Lucky you!
Later this week Mommy confirmed that there is infact another tooth! You are going to make a cute little beaver with your 2 chickletts.
Mommy took you over to Sito's on the weekend for a sleep over. Mommy then went to visit Jolene and Tyler and little baby Travis. What a little sweetie. Then Mommy just got to relax and catch up on some sewing and some sleep which was nice.

29 Weeks: Fuzzy Wuzzy Was A Bear

Fuzzy Wuzzy Bear
Hello Cutie! You are Mommy's little bear! Well you look like one in this fleece snow suit anyway. This was a Christmas gift from Tyler and Leah. Mommy put it on you a few days ago when we went out for a walk. These pictures show the frost on the trees in the yard this time of year, and eventhough it looks really cold, it really wasn't that day. Mommy bundled you put and we all went for a walk.
The other picture is you playing with your new dishes from Miles and Eileen. You have not met Miles yet, but he is a geologist that works with Daddy at the Rig.
BIG NEWSBREAK!!!- You are getting a tooth!!! Yes, about 3 days ago (~Jan 24, 2009) Mommy saw a little slit on your gums and within another day a little bit of white! It's no wonder you were a little crabby on the weekend, and also why you are crabby right now! The last few days you really haven't been yourself. Your sleep is off and you don't want to eat really. It's the front most tooth on the bottom right. Woo Hoooooo ONE tooth is here!
I can't get any pictures of it just yet.

28 Weeks: First Rig Experience

Yesterday, Jan 14, 2009, Mommy came up to visit Daddy at the rig. Grandpa Richie, Mommy, you and Billie all left yesterday morning to visit Daddy north of Red Earth or the bush! Daddy can't really get any groceries here so he asked me to bring some up. It was a bit of a long drive, but it seems to pass by quickly. You were very good in the truck and didn't really make too much of a fuss.
So far we took a few pictures of you, but we need to get some of you by the rig and mark this as your first rig experience. I am hoping you don't make it as a career choice now! Mommy wants you to be a dentist or something like that! Or maybe a cowboy!
Anyway Daddy is working with a very nice man named Yousiff, who picked you up right away. He loves little kids and has 4 at home. You are not too shy either which is nice.
We are leaving tomorrow. Daddy will then go to work by Peace River. I am using his computer right now, since mine has a virus I think. I dropped it off yesterday...I hope they can fix it!

All of the pictures that we took at the rig are on Daddy's camera, and he doesn't have the proper cord to send them to me! AHHHH I guess I will have to post them later. For now we will just have writing!

27 Weeks: See Ya Later Daddy

Too tired to play mom.
I can sit up all by myself.
Yeah, what do you want?
Upside down cutie

I never thought that when you were born in July that your daddy would be around to watch you grow each day until January. Both Daddy and I thought that he would have had to go to work by September or October. But things have been so slow this year and Daddy hasn't had any work. Things are getting pretty tight, but thankfully he is able to go now. He is leaving tomorrow, and likely (hopefully) will be busy for the next 3 months or so. It's going to be a lot different around here without him. I think he is really going to miss you too.
It's just be me and you for the past few days, but the time has actually passed pretty quickly. We have been playing and learning to sit. Yesterday, the day was so nice only -1 that we bundled up and went for a walk. Billie and Max were very excited about it too.
You have fallen into a really good routine, so it's easy now to plan my day and do things with you!
Daddy calls lots and says that he misses you so much!

26 Weeks: Happy New Year!

Great Grandma Brown, Grandma Barb, and me.

Thank you for the new camoflauge and the bow in my hair.

Happy New Year little buddy and Happy 6 mo birthday! You sure are growing fast. Just the other day Mommy went through the basket of "too big" clothes and pulled out what I think will fit next. I also put away some more clothes that are too small. I have put you in size 3 diapers now. They are a little big, but I think it will be okay.

So after all the hustle and bustle of Christmas etc. we went to Daddy's auntie and uncles for a special celebration. Your Great Grandma Brown's 80th birthday. It is also Grandma Barbs birthday, (mother and daughter). So we had a nice meal and dessert. We visited with family but didn't stay long because we were all very tired and it was very very cold that day.

Other than that this last week has really gone by quickly. You are eating really well. You eat a variety of veggies now, even peas and beans which I thought you wouldn't like. You like pears (mommy loves pears too) and apples.

The sleeping is getting a little better. You still continue to wake at approx 11pm but the last 2 nights I have tried to ignore your cries. It's hard but I know that you don't really need to eat. So I pat your back a bit and if I am luck you fall asleep for awhile longer. I would like to get you down to one feeding a night. I really think you can handle it. Some nights you sleep really good for a long time so I know that you can't be that hungry. Each night is different though. Ahhhhh I hope you catch on soon.

Mommy is back on the wagon with her new exercise routine and weight loss plan (NO MORE SWEETS). During this last week of visiting I ate a lot and it was not a smart thing to do. Also mommy has signed up for a fundraising event that is happening in August 2010 in Edmonton. I am going to walk 60km in two days for the Alberta Cancer Foundation. The event is called the Weekend to End Women's Cancers. I am really excited about it. I have to start fundraising now, because I have to raise two thousand dollars. I want to start early so I don't have to worry about it later on and I can focus on the training. Wish me luck little guy!
